This Privacy Policy is subject to currently applicable European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please take a moment to read this Privacy Policy carefully.

This Privacy Policy describes personal data collection, use and disclosure practices when you (User) register, access, use or subscribe content on the Taskify.fi website, Taskify® web application, and the Taskify® mobile application (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Platform”), owned and managed by Taskify Oy (hereinafter referred to as “Taskify”), registered in Finland with the business ID 3304592-6.

Data Controller is the party which determines the purposes, conditions and means of the processing of personal data. Data Processor is the party which processes personal data on behalf of the Data Controller. Taskify owns and manages the Platform as both Data Controller and Data Processor (hereinafter also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”).

Collection, use and disclosure of personal data (in other words the processing of personal data) from a User of the Platform (Data Subject) shall be in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The Data Subject is a natural person residing in the European Economic Area (EEA).

ACCEPTANCE OF PRIVACY POLICY

By registering, accessing, using or subscribing to the Platform you confirm acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may specifically request your consent to process your personal data where required by law. We may provide additional "just-in-time" disclosures or additional information (in other words notices) about personal data processing relating to specific Platform functions. These notices may supplement or clarify this Privacy Policy or may provide you with additional options about how your personal data is processed.

If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, you must immediately discontinue accessing, using or subscribing to the Platform.

THE PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

Personal Data is information related to you (the Data Subject) which can be used to identify you directly or indirectly, or to contact you. Personal data may include, but is not limited to, your email address, name, and phone number. This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data which you voluntarily submit by registering, accessing, using or subscribing to the Platform. This Privacy Policy does not apply to anonymised personal data, as it cannot be used to identify you.

You may be asked to provide personal data anytime you are in contact with our support team. We may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, and content.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we will not give, sell, rent or loan any personal data to any third party.

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE (PROCESSING)

We collect personal data for the legitimate purpose of providing you with a secure, smooth, efficient, and customised experience in registering, accessing, using or subscribing to the Platform, or otherwise as required by law. Any personal data you provide to us which is not legally required is voluntary. You are free to consent whether to provide us with the personal data, but non-consent may negatively affect what we offer through or otherwise the effectiveness of the Platform. You may indicate your consent to or otherwise opt out from providing personal data by following relevant instructions when you register, access, use or subscribe to the Platform.

LOG DATA

We may also collect personal data sent by your device whenever you register, access, use or subscribe to the Platform (Log Data). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, device or browser type and version, the pages of the Platform which you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics relating to your actions, interactions, behaviours and interests. We may also track Users across sites and platforms, not just limited to the Platform.

In addition, we may use third party services such as Facebook and Google Analytics which collect, monitor and analyse personal data for profiling in order to increase the functionality of the Platform. Profiling means any automated processing of personal data intended to evaluate, analyse, or predict Data Subject behavior. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they process such personal data. COOKIES

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include for example an anonymous unique identifier, IP address, time, operating system and the search engine you used to get to the Platform. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.

We may use cookies to collect personal data. You may instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of the Platform.

THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS AND USERS

We may engage third party entities and persons to facilitate the Platform, to provide the Platform on our behalf, to perform related functions such as those finance-related or to assist us in analysing how the Platform is used.

These third parties have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Users agree to comply, as their personal liability, with the data protection requirements of relevant Finnish law as well as the GDPR when personal data is voluntarily exchanged between Users in accessing, using or subscribing to the Platform.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

We will disclose your personal data when required to do so by law or in accordance with an order of a court of competent jurisdiction, or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law or the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of the Platform.

SECURITY

The security of your personal data is important to us, but please be notified that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use reasonable commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. As such we make no warranties as to the level of security afforded to your personal data, except that we will always act in accordance with relevant Finnish law and the GDPR.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER

Your personal data may be transferred to — and maintained on — servers located outside of the EEA where the data protection laws may differ from those of our jurisdiction. We will, however, ensure the transfer complies with relevant data protection law to keep secure all personal data.

If you are located outside the EEA and choose to provide personal data to us, please be notified that we transfer the personal data to Finland and elsewhere for processing.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy by registering, accessing, using or subscribing to the Platform followed by your submission of such personal data also confirms your consent to the transfer.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

The Platform may contain links to third party sites which are not engaged by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

CHILD PRIVACY

The Platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 (“Child”).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from a Child. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with personal data, please contact our support team at info@taskify.fi

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a Child without verification of parental consent, we will take reasonable measures to remove such personal data.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We will keep your personal data for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy which also include these reasons:

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Modifications are effective when the modified Privacy Policy is posted on the Platform.

Your use of the Platform following the posting of any such modifications shall constitute your acceptance of those modifications.

Where required by law a separate notice of modifications will be sent to you by e-mail (sent to the e-mail address specified in your User account) or by means of a notice on the Platform prior to the modification becoming effective.

JURISDICTION

This Privacy Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes, claims or controversies arising from this Privacy Policy shall be resolved in good faith negotiation. Should the matter remain unresolved for more than thirty (30) days from the start of negotiation, it shall be subject to final and binding resolution in arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as ¨FAI¨) pursuant to the regulations in force. The number of arbitrators to be appointed by the FAI shall be one (1), the place of arbitration shall be Helsinki, Finland and the language of arbitration shall be English.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

The GDPR gives you the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the European Union (or European Economic Area) state where you work, normally live or where any alleged infringement of data protection laws has occurred.
